Cabo de Palos

cabo_palos

A typical Spanish fisherman's village with a traditional port.

From the hill where the lighthouse is situated you have a beautiful view of the La Mange strip.

This coastal enclave is famous for its delicious fish and rice dishes witch you can taste in many of the Spanish restaurants along the quay or at the beach.

On Sundays there's a bristling market which attracts buyers from all over the region all year long.

You will find fruits and vegetables, pickled fish but also handcrafted leather ware, cooking materials and gigantic paella-pans.

Cabo has 2 different coasts: Playa Levante, a sandy beach which stretches up to La Manga and Calas de Poniente, a particular beautiful but steep rocky coastline which reminds us of the Costa Brava.

You can take a stroll from the lighthouse all the way to the village. Along the way you will see diving fans exploring one of the most amazing underwater locations of the region. Several clubs can be found along the coastline to provide excursions and material for diving.
